We're reopening

Is lockdown finally over?

Lockdown, whoever thought in our lifetime we would be going through one? Well, three!

It's been a year, and it looks like it could continue, but I, for one, am hoping this is the end. Yeah, wishful thinking.

With a reopening date of April 13th, we have new opening days of Tuesday-Saturday. Unfortunately, Covid has made a few of our staff decide they no longer want to be in the big smoke and have moved home to be closer to their families.

London is, after all, made up of people from all over the world. I don't think I hang around with any true Londoners apart from my partner, and he will tell me he's Irish and he's only born here.

It's funny. The first lockdown seemed a bit exciting and scary at the same time, the unknown.

It was warm, and summer was nearly here, and then it came in full heatwave force. You couldn't find space in the parks around Shoreditch. It was crazy! It's funny how the sun makes everything feel a lot better than it is.

 Creativity seemed to flow, and I was painting, baking, making all sorts of things. There seemed to be endless hours in the day. Exercising felt good, and so did eating rubbish.

Fast forward to December, and the lockdown was a completely different kettle of fish. With short cold days, the creativity in me dried up.

I still kept busy but couldn't paint, to be honest, I don't know where all the hours went.

Three months later and it looks like there is light at the end of the tunnel.

So let's all raise a glass to the country reopening, and we hope to see you all come through our doors again soon to brighten up our lives.
